Sammamish-Interlake Lacrosse - Assistant Coaching Position (posted 1/13/2017)

The Sammamish-Interlake Lacrosse Club is seeking a qualified assistant varsity coach for a paid position with the boys high school team.

If you are interested in teaching the game of lacrosse at the high school varsity level; would like to help build a fun, positive lacrosse culture in our community than this coaching job opportunity may be perfect for you.

The assistant coach will be expected to assist the coaching staff in the organizing, planning, and coaching of the team. You must be creative, adapt quickly and have strong communication skills. As a minimum qualification, applicants must have experience playing lacrosse at the high school level and a desire to teach and help grow young student-athletes. The right attitude for helping ensure kids have a great experience on and off the field is imperative for an ideal candidate.

Lacrosse season: April 27th thru May 31st - 2017
Location: Home games and practices at Sammamish High School stadium pro-turf field.
All applicants must pass a mandatory background check as mandated by the club and Bellevue School District.

Boys Lacrosse JV Coach

Mount Si Lacrosse Club is currently recruiting for a boys’ lacrosse program JV Coach for the 2015-2016 school year. The lacrosse season begins on late February and concludes in mid- to late May. This is a part-time position (approximately 12-15 hours per week during the season).

Responsibilities

The Boys JV Coach will report to the Varsity head Coach. The boys’ lacrosse program generally includes two teams (Varsity and JV). Specific responsibilities include:

  • Compliance with all WHSBLA policies and procedures;
  • Supervision and instructions of boys lacrosse student-athletes during all team activities;
  • Maintenance and inventory of boys lacrosse program equipment and apparel;
  • Development of boys lacrosse practice and competition schedules;
  • Management and supervision of the boys lacrosse coaching staff;
  • Management of the boys lacrosse summer camp and activities;
  • Promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes; and
  • Development of a long-term vision for the boys’ lacrosse program and the creation of teaching curriculum to support that vision.

Requirements and Qualifications

Successful candidates must be 21 years of age, possess a valid Washington State driver’s license, and be available for all practices and competitions from 3 pm during the week with additional availability on Saturdays. Experience coaching boys/men’s lacrosse at the club, high school, or college level is required.  References should address the candidate’s ability to successfully instruct a wide range of student-athletes, work collaboratively with all constituencies related to an athletics program, and develop a lacrosse program. Additionally, candidates must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and must possess, or obtain prior to their season, First Aid and CPR certifications.

MS Boys Lacrosse Coaches

Description

The Overlake School is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of MS Boys Lacrosse Coaches for the spring season (2016) for their 5/6th and 7/8th grade teams. Qualifications for the position include prior coaching experience, with head coaching experience preferred.


Successful Candidates will:


1) Have the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, parents, alums and administrators.
2) Be able to role model the behavior which he/she demands.
3) Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4) Be able to pass a criminal background check in addition to having an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities include:


• Plan and execute all team practices
• Supervise players, assistant coaches and volunteers at all team events (games, practices, road trips, meetings, etc.)
• Provide basic medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Be able to execute emergency plan for athletic facilities
• Attend Athletic Department Coaches Training
• Meet Department Coaching Standards
• Email post turnout letter to families with your roster, philosophy, regular practice schedules, game schedule address (www.goowls.com), and expectations of upcoming season. Copy to athletic director.
• Email Rosters to MS Athletic Director by the end of turnout week.
• In-Season: Send regular email (suggestion: weekly) to families of team members during the season
• Post-season collection of all issued equipment, med kits, keys and uniforms for inventory.
• Meet with Athletic Department to debrief and return issued items (above).

Details for the Applicant:
• The MS season starts March 7 and concludes in mid-May. Practices run three days per week, usually 3:14-4:30 pm.  All practices held on campus. Games will be played mostly Saturday, with a few weeknight games.
• The season stipend amount ranges from $1550-2400.
